The same crystal structure
A laboratory-grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure and optical properties as a mined stone. Its origin is different, and we state that origin wherever the stone is described.
Every eligible center stone is accompanied by its grading report. The report identifies the laboratory, report number, measurements, and quality grades.
How the crystal is grown
Two processes are used at commercial scale. High-pressure, high-temperature growth recreates the heat and pressure of deep formation around a small seed. Chemical vapor deposition builds the crystal layer by layer from a carbon-rich gas.
Both produce rough crystal that is then cut and polished by hand, exactly as mined rough is. Cutting decisions, not the growth method, determine how a finished stone performs in light.
Grading uses the same language
Independent laboratories assess a laboratory-grown diamond on cut, color, clarity, and carat weight, and record the origin on the report. The scales are the ones already used across the trade.
Disclosure is part of the design
We use the complete phrase laboratory-grown diamond in product names, specifications, invoices, and customer communications. We do not rely on a footnote.
Claims stay specific
Origin alone does not prove a broad environmental or ethical claim. We publish only sourcing and manufacturing claims that can be documented.
