Where these terms apply
These terms apply to a piece designed and made to your specification. They sit alongside the terms of sale and take precedence where the two differ. Exploring in the studio and saving concepts commits you to nothing.
Design fee and deposit
Paid design work begins only when you ask for it. A design fee covers the specification and the factory CAD revisions, and it is credited in full against the final price if you proceed. It is refundable until the first factory revision is delivered to you, and not afterwards, because the work has been done.
A deposit is taken when you approve a revision and authorize production. The balance is due before dispatch. The exact amounts are shown on your versioned quote before you pay anything.
Revisions
Two rounds of CAD revisions are included with the design fee. Further rounds are quoted and agreed before any work starts, and every revision is recorded so the count is never in dispute.
A change that alters the center stone, the metal, or the structure of the design is a new specification rather than a revision. We requote it, and we say so before we act on the request.
Approval boundary
The product records the exact CAD revision, specification, terms version, timestamp, and customer decision.
Approving a revision authorizes us to manufacture that exact revision and is your acceptance of the design, the measurements, and the specification as shown. Review the renders, the measurements, the metal, the accent details, the engraving text, and the ring size before you approve. An engraving is reproduced exactly as you supply it.
Production cannot start without that approval, and it is the record your piece is inspected against on delivery.
Manufacturing tolerances
A finished piece is made by hand and may differ slightly from the approved model within the tolerance table recorded on your order. Metal weight, accent stone counts, and small dimensional variation fall inside those tolerances and are not defects. Anything outside them is our fault to correct.
A center stone is supplied to the graded specification you approved. Where that exact stone becomes unavailable before it is set, we offer a documented alternative of equal or better grade for your approval, or a full refund.
Cancellation
You may cancel at no cost before the first factory revision is delivered. After that, and before you approve, the design fee is retained and anything else you have paid is refunded.
Once production is authorized the order cannot be cancelled, because casting and stone allocation begin immediately. If you need to stop an order, contact us at once and we will tell you honestly what stage it has reached and what is still possible.
Final sale and the exceptions
A custom piece is final sale and is not returnable for a change of mind, because it was made for one person to one approved revision. The thirty-day return window does not apply to it.
Final sale does not limit your rights where a piece is faulty, was made outside the approved specification or its tolerances, arrives damaged, or is not as described. Those are corrected, replaced, or refunded at our cost. The lifetime manufacturing warranty and one complimentary resize apply to a custom piece in the same way as any other.
Timelines and customer-supplied stones
A custom schedule depends on how quickly revisions are reviewed. A date is a commitment only where we confirm it in writing against current factory capacity, and we say before you pay whether a fixed date can be met.
We do not currently set a stone we did not supply. Handling an heirloom stone carries inspection, liability, and insurance terms we have not yet published, so the path stays closed rather than handled case by case.
